Dr Stephen Summerfield is a leading authority on military history, having written many books on the subject. He works closely with the Shorncliffe Trust, giving lectures and tours.

He will give a fascinating insight into Kent’s historic role in defending the country from invasion, looking at the rich military heritage in Folkestone and the surrounding district.
