General Data Protection Regulation statement

The New Folkestone Society (the Society) is a “controller” of its members’ personal data under applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). This data is collected when new members join the Society.
The Society only collects personal data when new members provide it in an application form, or any other form of correspondence fulfilling the same purpose.
The Society does not collect personal data about members or prospective members from third parties, except where that third party is acting as an agent to forward information collected electronically on behalf of the Society, for example when hosting the Society’s website.
The Society will not share personal data with any other third-party organisations. Personal data is only used by the Society to maintain the membership records and to enable it to contact or correspond with its members.
The Society will only retain personal data as long as it is needed to carry out those purposes.
To protect the security of personal data, the Society will ensure that it is only made available to the officers of the Society that need to use it. Appropriate levels of physical security are maintained for hard copies of membership lists and electronic lists are password protected.
Members have the right under the GDPR to inspect, correct or delete personal data and to decide the means by which the Society contacts them.
Members will effectively terminate their membership if they ask the Society to remove, under those rights, the minimum amount of data (name and address) needed to maintain the membership list.

Donations and Gift Aid

Boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate.

Gift Aid is reclaimed by the New Folkestone Society from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Your name and address are needed to identify you as a UK taxpayer.

In order to Gift Aid your donation you must tick the box below – I want to gift aid my donation and any donations I make in the future or have made in the past 4 years to the New Folkestone Society.
