construction of the Federal Reserve building in Kansas City, Missouri
The Government has vowed to “get Britain building again” and has proposed reforms to the planning system. We want the opinions of local people on the changes.
This evening, a significant proportion of Cheriton residents packed into Cheriton Baptist Church for a meeting hosted by the Folkestone & Hythe District Councillors for Cheriton, all of whom are in the Green Party. It took so long to get around 200-250 people inside the building that the meeting started around 10 minutes after it was due to, with people who couldn’t get in still stood out on the street!
KCC are looking for people to give feedback on their new websites as it is developed. At present there is a quick poll and a signup via email to take part at https://letstalk.kent.gov.uk/kentgovuk-feedback-group

The New Folkestone Society has concerns that a temporary relocation of Folkestone Library would become permanent, giving an excuse to dispose of the building. Although Kent County Council states this isn’t on the cards, we want to ensure it doesn’t happen. Consequently, we nominated the library as an Asset of Community Value.
